Located in Puerto Rico, Isla Mar is a field-course coordination and scientific education company with a mission to outfit upcoming scientists with the skills they need to conserve and protect our natural resources. Whether it's assessing lionfish invasion impacts, fish identification via underwater iPads or studying the spawning of the endangered Nassau grouper, this husband and wife duo is bringing great minds and awareness to the waters of Puerto Rico.

"It’s been a wild couple weeks.
Being October, it was only the local crew — Brian Toth, Alejandro Moreda and Dylan Graves, to name a few, owning the lineup. Of course they let visitors and keen swell forecasters like Balaram Stack, Yadin Nicol and Damien Hobgood get a few leftovers for themselves. And when it’s as good as it was today, the leftovers were nothing to shake a stick at."
